The primary benefit of attending is to support the Laois Chamber of Commerce and inform attending organisations and attendees of the part time learning opportunities that are available with the Faculty of Lifelong Learning at IT Carlow. Given our close geographic proximity to Laois, we are in a key strategic location to develop and expand the opportunities for upskilling and reskilling of Laois based enterprises. It is an opportunity to raise awareness of our broad suite of programmes in addition to promoting labour market activation initiatives such as Springboard, Skillnet etc which can reduce the financial barrier to accessing Higher Education. The promotion of upskilling and reskilling opportunities should complement the employment opportunities at the fair.
